Nokia technology centre in Wrocław passionately supports the development of communications technologies and software engineering in various ways. For many years, we have partnered with Polish universities to promote innovation among students and educate them through lectures, lab time, internship programmes, and initiatives such as Innovative Projects.
A great many students, who had participated in workshops or Innovative Projects events, were subsequently awarded internships at Nokia, and eventually became our full-time employees. In this way, we offer them a solid start in a professional career and prepare them for the future.
After being taken under the wing of Nokia employees, students acquire practical skills in solving issues related to ICT through creating simple development tools, graphics and database applications, and working on the development of auxiliary algorithms for LTE systems. Each year, Nokia develops a list of project themes which can be conducted either individually, or be part of a university class, or of a students’ scientific association. Each project has its designated Nokia supervisor who can be consulted during meetings at the Nokia facilities. List of project themes for academic year 2013/2014 may be found here.
